July 30, 2020 Michael Brumitt

We’ve all had to adopt new work routines these days, especially those in client-facing roles, as Francis Fernandes can attest to. With a combination of Salesforce and project management expertise, Francis has been with Appirio since 2018 and is located in Northern California’s Bay Area. In this month's profile, he discusses the advantages and challenges of remote work, along with some other fun facts.

Are you an early bird or night owl?

Definitely a night owl. I can stay awake past midnight, but I'm not a morning person.

Would you rather live in the ocean or on the moon?

The ocean it is for me. There’s more to do in the ocean than on the moon!

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

People may forget what you said, people may forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.

What fictional world or place would you like to visit?

The village in Gaul where Asterix and Obelix lived.

What’s the hardest part about working virtually for you? The easiest?

The hardest: Not meeting people face to face and getting cues from their body language.
The easiest: It's easier to get ready for a meeting from home compared to an office.
