Advancing Inclusion in Tech at Appirio

March 10, 2020 Melissa Southard

When I joined Appirio, it was the first time in my career I could honestly say I’ve been able to be authentically myself in the workplace and felt welcome since Day One. Being at a company that fully embraces, respects and values my skillset is truly priceless.  Being surrounded by top talent, I’m encouraged to see the fostering of the next generation of leaders and investment in each employee’s personal and professional growth.

On International Women’s Day – and every day – we have an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of women.  At Appirio, we strive to promote a diverse and inclusive environment that fosters collaboration, support, and respect for all colleagues and partners. To inspire and celebrate inclusion in technology, Appirio is kicking off ‘Inclusion in Tech’, an initiative to promote strong and diverse leaders.

Our mission is to redefine what it means to be in tech and champion a culture of inclusion.  It’s about us all as humans – that belonging, well-being and purpose.  Accepting and valuing one another regardless of age, race, sexual orientation, gender, religion, ethnicity, and disability can have limitless, lasting impact.

“I believe it’s our responsibility to drive inclusion, challenge the societal norms, and blaze trails for future leaders.  We are committed to making sure everyone feels like they have a seat at the table and are respected, no matter what,” said Jen Odess, Appirio’s Global Head of Business & Strategy.

As equals, imagine the possibilities and potential of people with unique perspectives and new ideas.

You’ll hear more about Appirio’s commitment to inclusion from our incredible leaders throughout the year, and you can check out the action by connecting with us on social media and following our hashtag #AppirioForEquality.
