Reimagine education for a changing world is our theme for the upcoming Higher Ed Summit, a two-and-half-day event where the best and brightest minds in education and innovation come together to share ideas, make new connections, and inspire their communities. It’s where education, innovation, and community come together.

You’ll learn and share ideas, make new connections, and get inspired. The Summit is a celebration of all the ways our community is driving a wave of change.

And there’s no better place for making waves than sunny San Diego, California. This year, the University of San Diego (USD) is co-hosting Higher Ed Summit with Salesforce.org. USD is an institution known as a changemaker in higher ed since launching their Changemaker HUB in 2011. USD believes everyone can take part in changemaking, so the HUB’s main focus is to develop opportunities for all members of the USD community.

What is Appirio up to at the Summit?

The expectations of constituents and the internal and external pressures that require institutions to rethink everything are changing. Reimagining how you meet those expectations and address those pressures doesn’t mean you find better ways to do the same thing. It means you find new ways of being an institution and a community. Meaningful change is hard, and we’re here to help.

Over the past decade, Appirio has worked with schools and universities to enable Worker & Constituent experiences with Appirio’s dedicated Salesforce Higher Education Practice. We’re eager to share our experience and expertise at the event. An ongoing initiative for our Solution and Innovation office is a more connected campus experience. We pride ourselves in having solutions that can enable greater student and faculty experience in the following areas:

  • Marketing & Recruitment
  • Enrollment Management
  • Student Success
  • Faculty Management
  • Alumni Engagement
  • Advancement
  • Staff Success

While speaking with one of the students from a well-known school on the East Coast of the U.S., we learned some real-life campus challenges:

  • Applying learning to real life
  • Managing time between extracurricular activities and academics
  • Finding solid exam preparation materials
  • Having assessment programs that consider the student’s routine
  • Making job interviews and internship programs available on-campus

Staff and faculty also have challenges around higher student engagement in the classrooms, and that’s where Appirio applies the lens of better student/faculty experience. The goal is threefold:

  • Enable greater collaboration
  • Facilitate a smoother exchange of information and data between various on-campus communities
  • Ensure a connected campus experience

Appirio can help define, implement,  track, and measure the success of students and advisors alike through Appirio’s cloud solutions.
