Virgin believes providing an outstanding flying experience requires their employees are happy, well-informed and have access to the resources they need to succeed. With more than 2,500 employees - 85% of whom are on the go - as pilots, flight attendants and front line team members, getting information out to these team members and facilitating communication was difficult, and not representative of the Virgin America brand. To bring Virgin's employee experience up to par with its customer experience, Appirio helped create the VXConnect Mobile Employee Portal. With responsive mobile design, embedded social networking and an easy-to-use content management system, VXConnect embodies a user experience reflecting the Virgin brand and culture. Employees can now access numerous applications and communicate across teams within VXConnect including Payroll, Team Travel, Crew Member Support, Flight Options, and Benefits. Seamless connection between CRM and HCM to transform HR into a global shared services center and optimize case handling Xchanging Global Insurance provides business processing, technology and procurement services in 42 countries for customers across many industry sectors. As part of a corporate program to optimize their HR case handling processes and transform their HR team into a global shared services center, Xchanging decided to implement as their key HR case management system. Key to their success was integrating with Workday to move HR case management activities to their new global service center in India, and providing employees with a robust public knowledge solution. Salesforce's Service Cloud was deployed for 60 HR users in the UK, USA, and the offshore call center in India. Workday Connector was added to extend the capabilities of Workday to Salesforce and enable a seamless connection between the two systems. Salesforce's Service Cloud Console was added to allow agents to quickly create, manage, and solve cases all from a single screen, along with a custom Knowledge Base portal to quickly access and manage all help documents and FAQs for 2000+ employees resulting in significantly improved case management timelines.
