Awards highlight customers’ exemplary use of cloud to transform their business
Indianapolis, IN – February 1, 2015 – Appirio, a leading global cloud services provider, today announced the winners of the 2015 Appirio Customer Awards, recognizing customers who are using the cloud in new and innovative ways.
Appirio’s executive leadership team conducted a deep analysis of its customers’ goals and achieved results to determine the award winners for Crowd Innovator, Project Team of the Year, and Customer Experience Pioneer. The Appirio Customer Awards, formerly known as the Cloud Pioneer Awards, were revamped last year to better represent the evolving state of the cloud industry. The awards are part of Appirio’s larger mission to help every customer become a cloud-powered business and to empower companies to create engaging customer and worker experiences.

The winning customers are:
- Crowd Innovator: IBM
The Crowd Innovator Award recognizes customers who have advanced their business through enterprise crowdsourcing to innovate, extend internal teams, or solve tough problems. IBM ifundIT is IBM’s enterprise crowdfunding program, which is being used to drive innovation inside the company. IBM employees around the world are making an impact by funding the creation of apps that make their work easier. Forty-five ifundIT projects have used Appirio’s crowdsourcing community since mid-2014, resulting in eight functional apps and 30 app designs.
- Project Team of the Year: Graham Holdings
The Project Team of the Year Award celebrates Graham’s customer project team for its exceptional collaboration efforts to replace an aging HCM system. The winners of this award have a close partnership with the Appirio team, and an internal synchronicity between the business and IT sides of the house. Graham’s go-live of over 25,000 employees is one of Appirio’s largest deployments of employee data and configurations into an existing production environment.
- Customer Experience Pioneer: BMC
The Customer Experience Pioneer Award recognizes customers that have excelled in providing an exceptional customer experience, resulting in more satisfied and loyal customers. In building Android and iOS versions of MyEBC, a mobile application for those visiting BMC’s executive briefing center, BMC provided an exceptional customer experience. Within the app, visitors have personalized access to all logistical and content details they need both pre- and post-visit; and can manage all aspects of their trip, such as Daily Agenda, Travel Info, Weather, EBC-recommended Restaurants, Things to Do, and Events Nearby.
